Despite embarking on their first-ever continental adventure, Oliver Glasner's side are learning at a rapid pace. Without star figures like forward Jean-Philippe Mateta and defender Daniel Muñoz, the Eagles left Dublin with a commanding win that virtually secures them a spot in the Conference League qualifying rounds.
A further three points in their next fixture against Finnish KuPS ought to be sufficient to secure direct entry to the knockout stages, particularly after a prior stumble against Strasbourg.
Squad Members Grasp the Opportunity
This match offered a platform for several Palace's lesser-used talent to impress. Christantus Uche, making only his second start after arriving on loan from Getafe, opened the scoring with a well-taken goal. Striker Eddie Nketiah added a another, scoring for the second consecutive match.

Following the break, manager Oliver Glasner seized the opportunity to rest several players like Kamada and Wharton. Substitute Romain Esse came close to scoring with his first touch, but saw his effort blocked.
Esse was desperately unlucky later on, seeing one shot crash off both posts before being clasped on the line. Uche also missed a glaring chance, indicating there is still room for improvement in his game.
The only concern for Palace was a second-half knock to Justin Devenny, who was forced off. This paved the way for 17-year-old striker Benji Casey to earn his senior debut, capping an otherwise positive evening for the traveling side.
